"2012 is the first vintage of Chateau Figeac's second wine, Petit Figeac. This new label replaces Grangeneuve de Figeac that was produced in most vintages between 1945 and 2011. There is a good plumpness here with ripe cherry notes and chocolate sweetness. There is a touch of smoke on the nose. The palate is juicy with red and black cherries and soft tannins. This is forward and delicious and a lovely Saint Emilion of great pedigree for drinking now and over the next 5-10 years as we wait for the outstanding 2010 grand vin to mature."
