We still stay in the Danharo area and go to a place Uncle Dolsoe’s House nearby the Hyehwa Station. Dolsoe, is a general name for a servant which mean strong as stone & steel to protect & care the house for the master in Chosum era. Certainly, there are no such servant nowadays. However, you are welcome to visit here if you would like to experience this blue collar Dolsoe’s flavor. Also, you’d better be prepared to wait in line for a half hour at least.
The major Dolsoe’s flavors for today are Italian Pizza and Korea Number 1 National snack “Topokki” (Korean spicy rice cake). It is quite unique place because we can have those two dishes which don’t look well-suited. If you really want to try food here you should bring your friends together because they serve big portion. They also provide SinRamen (Korean instant noodle) for free but you have to cook the noodle yourself and remember do not waste the food, because you have to pay a penalty for not finishing all. This is the place where we always find a lot of joy & laugh with friends as an modern “Dolsoe” after the company. ^.^
