Tasting note |
From arguably Burgundy’s most sort after address, Domaine François maybe the least well known of the extended Confuron family, but he is right up there with them all! Brilliant Villages example – exemplary, deceptively long and elegant classical Vosne-Romanée. Wonderfully crafted and full of brooding quality, texture and flavour. Great ageing potential!
The Domaine (François) Confuron Gindre is located at Rue de la Tâche in the heart of the clay-limestone terroirs of the world famous village of Vosne-Romanée. They own approximately 11 ha of vines, mainly red, which are spread over 50 small parcels! A number of these sites have vines over 75 years of age. Working to traditional practices (organic) in the vineyard and cellar, these wines have beautiful texture and balance and are truly classical in style. |
