Tasting note |
A damp, difficult, but generous year in terms of volume. The spread of cryptogamic diseases was a constant factor, exacerbated by a warm, exceptionally wet August. Rain and cool weather in between sunny periods made it difficult to obtain evenly ripe grapes.
Dense garnet hue with a tint of orange at the rim. Powerful scents of sweet tobacco, cedar and wild cherry. Velvety tannins and ripe flavors of Bing Cherry, brown sugar and soy sauce. Layers of leather, oak, orange rind and smoke in the ethereal close. By Chateau Palmer Website: www.chateau-palmer.com |
