Tasting note |
Located in Pommard, the domain has been in the family for eight generations. It was taken over by Jean-Louis Moissenet-Bonnard, the current owner, in 1987. He later extended the wine-growing estate to the Meursault and Auxey-Duresses appellations. The estate produces nine red wines, three white wines and a white Cremant de Bourgogne. (we concentrate on the terrific reds). The vines are protected through the method called ‘lutte raisonnee’, without herbicides or pesticides, and are ploughed in order to obtain healthy vines that dig deep to extract the richness of the soil. The harvest and the sorting of the grapes are carried out by hand, and the wine is raised in 228-litre oak barrels. |
