Tasting note |
Lynch-Bages has produced an impressively colored 1992. The wine has not begun to display much complexity in its cassis, damp earth, and spicy-scented nose. There is fine fatness and ripeness, medium body, and light tannin in the finish. By Robert Parker, Dec 1994.
Attractive, modest plum and cherry character, medium body and tannins and a firm finish. By James Suckling @ Wine Spectator, Apr 1995.
Dark ruby-red with a hint of garnet at the rim. Evolved, musky aromas of blackberry, coffee, camphor and underbrush. Juicy and on the lean side, with uncomplicated flavors of small dark berries, licorice and mushroom. The short finish features a hint of black pepper and firm, chunky tannins that avoid coming off as hard. By Vinous.com, Jan 2012. |
