LOCATION : The commune of Savigny les Beaune is located between Aloxe Corton and Pernand Vergelesses, to the north of Côte de Beaune.
VINEYARD INFORMATION : Savigny produces almost exclusively red wines (90%) with the village and premier cru appellations. The vineyard has south, south-east, east and northeast exposure and is situated between 220 and 360m. The chalky soil is gravely or stony, light and infertile. Les Guettes lies in the middle of the commune, near the village of Savigny.
VINIFICATION AND MATURATION : Destemmed grapes ferment in vats during 3 to 4 weeks. Aging takes place in oak barrels produced by our cooperage Cadus during 18 months. |
