Tasting note |
A ripe and expressive nose of dark berries, plum and cassis leads to earthy and solidly well-concentrated flavors that possess good volume for this level, all wrapped in a rustic but delicious finish. This is really very good for what it is and recommended. Drink: 2016+. By Allen Meadows @ Burghound, Apr 2013.
Moving on to Coche-Dury’s underrated reds, the 2011 Bourgogne Rouge has a crisp briar and raspberry-scented bouquet, one that is imbued with a sense of nonchalance – a spring in its step. The palate is smooth and silky on the entry with fine tannins, a fine thread of acidity and a refined breezy finish that feels long and tender in the mouth. This is one to look out for on restaurant lists for those seeking a relatively affordable introduction to Coche-Dury. By Neal Martin @ Wine Advocate, Apr 2014. |
