Tasting note |
Dense red-purple; an exceptionally rich, concentrated and complex bouquet with blackcurrant, a touch of mint and well-balanced and integrated oak. The palate is long and sumptuous, with densely rich chocolate, blackberry and blackcurrant flavours, finishing with lingering tannins, surrounded throughout by layers of American oak. (Date Tasted: 01 Oct 1995) By James Halliday, Jul 2011.
Ripe and generous, elegantly balanced and velvety. The focused currant and plum flavors are shaded by a touch of smoke and spice, the fruit persisting beautifully on the finish. By Wine Spectator, Oct 1995. |
