Tasting note |
The 2013 Potensac has a light, brambly bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, nicely judged acidity, quite harmonious in the mouth. Enjoy this over the next 4-5 years. By Neal Martin @ Wine Advocate, Oct 2016.
Direct, with a dried anise frame around modest damson plum and cherry fruit. Offers a soft, savory-edged finish. Drink now. By James Molesworth @ Wine Spectator, Mar 2016.
A dense and delicious red with currant, mineral and tobacco. Medium body, fine tannins and a bright finish. Drink now. By James Suckling, Feb 2016.
Fine tannins give this wine density and structure. A high proportion (69%) of the two Cabernets has boosted the concentration and given the wine impressive weight for the vintage. It's an excellent success for the year. By Roger Voss @ Wine Enthusiast, Jan 2016.
The 2013 Potensac, always one of the best of the lower-tier wines from Bordeaux and one with incredible aging potential for an unheralded, non-classified growth. It is a soft, round, easygoing wine offering pleasant notes of loamy soil, cherries and red currants. Drink it over the next 4-5 years. By Robert Parker, Aug 2014. |
