Tasting note |
Tasted alongside the more richly extracted 2020 vintage, this 2019 bottling of Morot’s Beaune Teurons highlights ripe blackberry and cherry flavors lifted by streaks of acidity and a crystalline spine of minerality. Luscious in fruit yet svelte and bristling, it’s an elegant, satisfying wine that’s approachable young yet is likely to improve through 2030 and hold further still. By Wine Enthusiast, May 2022.
Discreetly spicy and very pretty floral infused aromas include those of red and dark currant, cranberry and violet. The rich yet beautifully detailed and impressively intense medium-bodied flavors terminate in a focused, powerful and overtly saline finish that flashes outstanding depth and length. This is terrific and is also a wine that should amply reward extended keeping. *Sweet Spot, Outstanding! By Burghound, Apr 2021. |
