“The smoky and herbal note of iron-rich volcanic soil is again an exemplary interpretation in the sweet 2013 Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Spätlese whose brilliant nose has an extremely high degree of precision in its fruit expression. Self-evidently this laser-like sharpness is not diluted on the palate, which is not only perfectly clear but also extremely elegant and stringently piquant in its cutting through minerality.
